- Why shouldn’t we wear jeans?
THEY DON’T DRY!
During the unpredictable weather in the spring and fall, we may have rain, sleet and snow and wet jeans are very cold and uncomfortable.
- Is there cell service in the Park?
MAYBE!
It’s intermittent but there are many places with strong signals. On tour with us though, we go tech free as much as possible!
- Why don’t you have an online booking system?
AS EACH TOUR IS PRIVATE AND CUSTOMIZED, WE WANT YOU TO BE ABLE TO HAVE ALL YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED.
We are frequently told that it’s nice to communicate with real people in this time of AI so personally scheduling the tours is about the ultimate customer service.
- The number one question is what are our chances of seeing the famous Yellowstone wolves and Grizzly Bears?
VERY GOOD FOR WOLVES FROM MID MAY TO MID SEPTEMBER AND GRIZZLIES IN MAY/JUNE AND SEPT/OCT.
If seeing the predators, we’re all happy and that’s our goal for every tour!

- Is it really “freezing” in the mornings all summer?
YES!
After 10 years of touring, 95% of our guests wish they had more layers for the cold mornings, even hats and gloves! High elevation and microclimates lower the temperatures making weather apps inaccurate.
Howling on the Ridge - Are you completely private and will you customize the time for our group?
YES! FULL FOCUS ON YOU!
You and your group may take as little time or as long as you wish to experience something during our tour. We’d never shorten your time seeing your first wolves, grizzlies or simply taking in the beauty of the Park.

Every day is unique! Trust us to take you to the right places to see the wildlife of the Lamar Valley on our famous Northern Range and from there…Yellowstone delivers as the day “unfolds”.
- Where should we stay?
GARDINER, MT or MAMMOTH HOT SPRINGS HOTEL, WY!
Staying in Gardiner, MT or Mammoth Hot Springs, WY gives you “DOOR TO DOOR” service whereas lodging in West Yellowstone or the Canyon area makes for an early morning drive in the dark from 40-65 minutes to meet us. - What do we bring on tour?LAYERS!*Filled water bottles and enough clothing! Of course, medicine, glasses, special snacks, etc. but we provide all equipment and food for your time with us as well as NON TOXIC sunscreen, insect repellent and hand sanitizer.
- What time do we meet?EARLY!Between 5:00-6:00 am during high season for morning wildlife and 3:30 pm for Sunset Tours.
